Meet the Regional Judges
Carlos Jose 'Charlie' Gatmaitan
Chief Executive Officer, Institute of Corporate Directors
Carlos Jose P. Gatmaitan is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Institute of Corporate Directors and the Chairperson of MRC Allied, Inc., a publicly listed company at the Philippine Stock Exchange which is involved in renewable energy, mining and property development. Prior to this, he was appointed by then President Benigno Aquino, Jr. as President and CEO of PNOC Renewables Corporation, a government owned and controlled corporation (GOCC) mandated to develop renewable energy in the Philippines. During his term, he was a Director of the National Renewable Energy Board (NREB).
The Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD) awarded Mr. Gatmaitan as Fellow of the ICD, where he is involved in the Professional Directors Program for Strategy Design for Directors. He also currently teaches Strategy Management as member of the faculty of the Ateneo Graduate School of Business. He previously served as Director for Colorplus Production Group, Inc., Printing Industries Association of the Philippines (PIAP), Dasmarinas Village Association, Inc., and the Pacific Plaza Corporation, Inc.
Mr. Gatmaitan is an alumnus of the Ateneo de Manila and completed his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and MBA at Pepperdine University in California, USA. He was awarded Professional Designation Certificates in International Trade and International Business Management in University of California, Los Angeles. He completed the Chartered Financial Analyst I (CFA) during his previous employment at Asia Equity Ltd., now under BNP Paribas, where he was involved in Institutional Sales and Research in the Philippine equity market.
Jose Roland Moya
Director-General, Employers Confederation of the Philippines.
JOSE ROLAND MOYA is the Director-General of the Employers Confederation of the Philippines (ECOP). He is the employer representative in the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board- National Capital Region (RTWPB-NCR), a member of the Technical Executive Committee of the National Tripartite Industrial Peace Council (TEC- NTIPC) and represents the business sector in the Regional Technical Education and Skills Development Council-Region IVA. He served as Secretary-General of the ASEAN Confederation of the Employers (ACE) in 2017-2019. He is also Focal Point representing the ASEAN Confederation of Employers (ACE) in the ASEAN TVET Council. He is Treasurer/Assistant Corporate Secretary/ Trustee of Liceo De San Jacinto Foundation, a school established in 1949 which is based in his hometown and offers pre-school, elementary, high school, secondary, college and voctech courses. He served as former dean of business in a college and chair of a research and training institute.
Pacita “Chit” Juan
Former Chairperson, ASEAN Women Entrepreneurs Network.
Pacita "Chit" Juan is a social entrepreneur and is the President of NextGen Women Corporate Directors (NOWCD) and a Trustee of the
Philippine Women's Economic Network. She is the founder of ECHOstore sustainable lifestyle, a business she co-founded in 2008. She has worked with many NGOs helping women producers gain market access. In the region she was Past chair of the ASEAN Women Entrepreneur Network(AWEN).
She is the President of the Philippine Coffee Board Inc. and International Women's coffee Alliance- Philippines chapter.

Dr. Dynah Avigail Basuil
Executive Director, Asian Institute of Management – Center for Corporate Responsibility.
Dynah A. Basuil, PhD is a Professor and Executive Director of Ramon V. Del Rosario Sr. Center for Corporate Responsibility at Asian Institute of Management. Her different areas of expertise are internationalization strategies (cross-border acquisitions), corporate governance and strategic HRM (employee downsizing, work-life balance, diversity). She has worked in New Zealand, USA, Mexico, and Philippines as Lecturer and Regional Account Manager in Hong Kong. She has been a 2016 Recipient, Research Excellence Award by University of Auckland Business School and 2013 Candidate Researcher of National System of Researchers. She has15 published journals available in Research Gate. She finished her PhD in Management in University of Texas-Arlington (USA). She has two Masters Degree, one in Business Administration, University of Texas-Dallas (USA) and Master in Science in Telecoms Management at Oklahoma State University (USA). She finished Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, as a cum laude at University of the Philippines Diliman.
Cherrie Atilano
President and Founding Farmer, AGREA Philippines.
Cherrie Atilano is the Founding Farmer, CEO and President of AGREA Agricultural Systems International, Inc., a for-purpose and inclusive business, that is creating the first replicable one-island economy that is zero hunger, zero waste, and zero insufficiency, - through the ‘Ecology of Dignity’ approach. AGREA aims to help eradicate poverty for farming and fishing families in order to alleviate the effects of climate change, and establish food security in the Philippines.
Cherrie started teaching farmers at the age of 12, has 22 years of vast experience in Sustainable Food Systems. She completed top of her class with a degree on Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, Magna Cum Laude, in Visayas State University,. She also finished her Executive Education in Sustainable Food Systems and Systems Thinking in Wageningen University, Netherlands, and Stanford University's Change Leadership for Sustainability Young Global Leaders Program in 2021. She finished her Executive Education Program on Global Leadership and Public Policy for the 21st Century in Harvard Kennedy School of Government atHarvard University, Cambridge, Massachussets.
Cherrie is a recipient of The Outstanding Women in Nation’s Service Award in 2016, Inspiring Filipina Entrepreneur in 2017, first Awardee of Women of the Future Social Entrepreneur in SouthEast Asia, and The Outstanding Men and Women of the Philippines 2018. Cherrie also led AGREA in winning the UN Global Compact the Global Responsible Business Award 2017 for Agriculture Excellence, and the 4th ASEAN Rural Poverty Eradication Leadership Awards in 2019. She is a High-Level Ambassador of the United Nations Scaling Up Nutrition, an Advisory Board member of the World Bank Solutions for Youth Employment, and 2020 class of the Young Global Leaders (YGL) - the World Economic Forum’s foundation for remarkable leaders under 40.
Reycel Hyacenth Nacario Bendaña
Collective Impact Organizer, WeSolvePh.
Reycel Hyacenth Nacario Bendaña graduated as the 2019 Valedictorian and University Student Council President from the Ateneo de Manila University.
Together with Dasha Uy, she founded Hilab, Hilom, Halinhan (Rise, Recover, Reform), a movement that files cases against sexual predators and provides psycho-emotional support to survivors as they hold their abusers accountable. The movement has encouraged the reporting of sexual violence through enhancing the credibility of the reporting system, leading to an increase of the # of cases by 467%. Most of these cases were controversial and against high profile predators in the university; some of whom were dismissed from position.
Right after graduation, she joined the Jesuit Refugee Services to facilitate the integration of human trafficking victims, asylum seekers, and refugees from Africa and Southeast Asia.
She currently works with We Solve Philippines, a development consulting organization that creates well-scoped spaces for systemic action and collective impact. Some of their initiatives include financing better public health solutions to rural areas, powering data for critical policy reforms, and building access to social services for the most vulnerable.
