Meet the Judges
Colin Legarde Hubo
Executive Director, University of Asia and the Pacific – Center for Social Responsibility
Colin Legarde Hubo is the Executive Director of the University of Asia and the Pacific-Center for Social Responsibility. An expert in corporate reporting using the GRI, <IR>, SASB and TCFD standards, he has worked with projects of IFC-WB, British Embassy Manila, French Development Agency and publicly listed companies in mainstreaming sustainability in their business operations. He was elected twice to the Stakeholder Council of the Global Reporting Initiative (Amsterdam) and recently appointed as Global Ambassador of the International Integrated Reporting Council (London). Colin is an alumnus of UP, UA&P and Fleishman fellow at Duke University.
"The UN Women WEPs Awards pave the way to recognize diversity and inclusion trailblazers and share gender-transformative practices in the workplace. As sustainability and ESG reporting is becoming a norm for companies, it is imperative to measure, monitor, and disclose gender-related performance in all business aspects including governance, human capital, supply chain, and engagement with stakeholders. Also, aligning corporate sustainability reports with global ambitions such as the UN Sustainable Development Goals demonstrates the companies’ commitment to promoting an inclusive, resilient, and innovative business environment."

Coco Alcuaz
Executive Director, MAKATI BUSINESS CLUB
Coco Alcuaz is executive director of Makati Business Club. He was previously bureau chief at Bloomberg News, business news head at ABS-CBN News Channel, and contributor at Rappler.
"Gender diversity drives diversity in thought, creativity, and innovation which ultimately drive business competitiveness. The WEPs provide a unique framework that guides organizations on how to truly empower its women leaders, employees, supply chain partners and community partners to achieve greater multi stakeholder value. The WEP thematic toolkits and case studies, for instance, provide companies lessons on implementation and sample metrics that can be adopted to gauge impacts. Evidences used to build the WEPs framework and tools are valuable resource materials for companies that commit to start or advance their diversity and inclusion journey."

Patricia “Pepper” Limpoco
Asia Community Director, Makesense
Pepper is currently the Asia Community Director of Makesense and is also a National Youth Gender Activist at UN Women Philippines. As a community builder, she supports and equips fellow young advocates to actualize their inspiring citizen-led movements many of which are rooted on the topics of privilege, gender, and inclusivity. Pepper is also a My World 2030 Youth Advocate for the UN SDG Action Campaign and is a registered Psychometrician.
“Institutions upholding gender-inclusive cultures and practices are at the forefront of social innovation, effective employee engagement, and positive brand identity. We are intentional in celebrating these businesses that are well on their way in championing diversity and inclusion to highlight the message that we are here to support those who are still in pursuit of it.”

Stéphanie Carette
Programme manager, Gender focal person, Attaché at _Delegation of the European Union to the Philippines
Stéphanie Carette is a Programme manager, civil society and gender focal person at the Delegation of the European Union to the Philippines. She is Belgian and started her diplomatic career at the EU 17 years ago. She has been posted in the RD Congo, Tunisia and Ethiopia. In the Philippines since 2017, she coordinates the EU strategy and programmes on gender equality and women empowerment as well as EU’s engagement with civil society and local organisations. She is chairing the EU Gender focal persons group representing the EU Member States and Delegation in the Philippines.
"The private sector is part of the solution and can make a difference in bridging the gender gaps. Businesses and CEOs have a stake and a responsibility for gender equality and women
empowerment in the Philippines. The nominees are a powerful inspiration for more individuals, allies and companies to step forward with exemplary solutions on gender equality in the workplace."

Sharon G. Dayoan
Chairman and CEO, KPMG in the Philippines
Sharon Dayoan is the Chairman and CEO as well as Head of People of KPMG in the Philippines.
Relevant to her advocacy on women empowerment, she is the Co-founder and President of the Filipina CEO Circle and a member of the Philippine Women Economic Network. She is also organizing the Philippine Chapter of the Women Corporate Directors.
Sharon graduated from the University of the Philippines-Diliman and was awarded as one of U.P. Virata School of Business Distinguished Alumni.
"I am happy to participate in this year’s UN Women WEPs Awards as a judge. I believe in the WEPs’ goal to promote gender equality and women’s empowerment in the workplace. Blesila Abellanosa Lantayona
Undersecretary, Department of Trade and Industry -Regional Operations Group
Prior to her appointment as Undersecretary, Usec. Blesila A. Lantayona was the Assistant Secretary of DTI-Regional Operations Group, in-charge of Kapatid Mentor ME, Shared Service facilities, Great Women Project 2, among others. She holds an MBA Degree in International Business from Ecole Europeenne des Affaires in Paris, France. Her civil service career started in NEDA Region XI, then to DTI in various technical positions, then as Provincial Director of DTI-Davao del Sur, as Assistant Regional Director of DTI-Region XI then, as Regional Director of DTI-Region III. In September 2019, she was appointed as the Undersecretary of the DTI-Regional Operations Group in-charge of 16 Regional and 81 Provincial Offices.

Women empowerment creates capacities and opportunities for women entrepreneurs to realize and use their potentials to better themselves and contribute to the community and the nation as we rejuvenate our enterprises from the pandemic and move into a digital business environment."
